An Official Announcement
So.......... I've been Matched.
I announced this on trainee-sg's yahoogroups yesterday as well, and I was pleasantly surprised by the number of dear dear friends who replied to send me their best wishes. Thanx guys =) It really meant a lot to me =D
Considering that I've been having way too much fun in Singapore since May (hmm..make that April), it almost saddens me to leave this beautiful country to go to another gorgeous country for a 10mth-long AIESEC internship. I'll be leaving for India soon, and would be beginning my traineeship on 1 Sept 2005, ending June 2006.
I'll be in a consulting company for the pharmaceutical industry in Bangalore. I didn't want to blog anything until I saw my letter of employment..I received it on Tuesday, so at least now I'm not really jinxing it. ..i hope!
It's super-strange, 'cos I'll be going to India. Being a Non-Resident Indian (or NRI, the almost- Mudblood term in Indian lingo..hehe), I've been having love-hate relationships with this country (& mostly its people) almost my entire life..wait....lemme think.., yes, my ENTIRE life. So now I'm gonna give India and myself a proper chance to work things out...
I will be a foreigner in a country where I'll be thought of as a local..haha..would be strange, perhaps not ur usual AIESEC traineeship..In fact, all my life I've been living in countries where I'm so obviously a 'foreigner'...so this time, I go back to a country where I will be 'one of them', although inside I'm pretty much not =p...super sooper souper Weird..
I'm gonna miss proper Chinese food (Indianized-Chinese food doesn't count!) and Satay and Rojak and Kopi and Kaya toast and MacDonalds' french fries & chilli sauce so so sooo much. And not to mention Ladies' nights. =D
I leave just about less than a week from now.

But 10mths ain't long at all....Keep the kaya toast warm for me HOR =)

Wait a minute, didn't you cancel on me before I cancelled on you?? =P Hahaha hope you had a good surprise yesterday ;) Sorry I had to leave early as usual (working life sux). You cancelled on me before I could cancel on you yesterday. And you cancel on me again today before I can cancel on you. Two check-mates in a row! Oh, how my poor grey cells are toiling for revenge! Watch yourself in the next board game, Sire!
