Head NORTH..to the land of BUTTER CHICKEN
Chicken Tikka Masala, affectionately known as 'Butter Chicken', served with hot Pudina Parathas from Colonel Kebabs @ Mahima's residential apartments.
That's all I remember of my trip to North India last week. Butter chicken, butter chicken, butter chicken.
So two Fridays ago, we boarded the Karnataka 'Express' to Delhi. 46..FORTY-SIX..hrs later, we reached Delhi.
And now for the Best, or at least 'Interesting', experiences,...in random order naturally:
1. The train journey to and from Delhi (88hrs in total),
2. The Taj (Mahal), The 'Baby' Taj and the revulsion that came along with it (talk to me for more details),
3. MAHIMA!!!,
4. Sleeping in Mahima's cold cold room with 5layers over me,
5. Butter Chicken and Sheekh Kebab, Dahi Papdi Chat, PANEER (cottage cheese-absolute heaven!),
6. 'Smoking' Phantom Sweet Cigarettes @ 11pm in Jaipur, aaaaahhh childhood memories!
7. Humayun's Tomb @ Delhi (which I liked more than the Taj even),
8. Waking up at 6.30am when the bus was to leave at 6.30am to Jaipur and having Mahima's parents race-drive us to the bus,
9. Having some plain-weird, funny, and kind guides take us through Jaipur, the Taj and Agra, 10. Spending quality time with great girlfriends like Mahima and Joanna,
11. Getting frightened out of my wits by Hijras aka eunuchs on the train to Delhi, they're freaky in sarees!!!
12. SHOOOOPPPPPIINNNGGGGGGGGGGG @ Janpath, Jaipur, Sarojininagar, Agra, Sarojinagar (only)
13. Driving on Delhi's 'verrrrryyyy-nice' big un-pock-marked roads and feeling like I'm in a city finally, not a small-town-joint like B'lore =p
14. Waiting on the steps of India's largest mosque Jama Masjid for 45mins and experiencing so many feelings upon entering finally.
15. Watching kids climb over a HUGE fence to play cricket at the park next to Jama Masjid
16. Running through a flock of pigeons at Jaipur's Amer Fort
17. Having the old Jaipuri shoe-man sell me those leather-chappals for Rs140 and not Rs150 b'cos I was a 'student' and patting me on the head like I was a kid again.
18. .......and Yes, the list goes on..Mahima's wonderful grandparents and her funnnyy family!
19. Listening to Mahima talk to and with her friend Divya, and making me laugh like crazy at 1am!
20. CHILLING =)

So that's almmosstt all we did..delhi's funnnnnnn
And when I went back to work on Monday, I actually forgot many many parts of my trip..as a result of the freakishly long train-ride back..i slept THAT much.
I'll blog next about the EGG-CURRY-CITING train journey.. heheheheee
