At the restaurant-place in The Residency Towers, Chennai, India--June 2004, 3.30am: after quite a few cocktails at the Bike and Barrel pub and in a trigger-happy mood. I had just ordered for breakfast and was also in the mood to cross my eyes..or attempt to.

Okay..so many of you don't know this about me: I'm majoring in Life Sciences (Biomedical Science), in the National University of Singapore. Currently sloggin thru my Honours project in Neurophysiology (ooooohh big word)..and yeah, the usual bla bla i-don't-have-a-life-bullshit..Good news is, i'd be done in a month and 2 days (seriously counting down), bad news is i'm gonna be stuck in this place for the next 4 weeks (the other 2 days i'd be cooped in my room doing my thesis).
ANYWAYS..aside from the fact that the other 3 Masters students in my lab are THE unfriendliest characters u'd ever find, every other person OUTSIDE the lab is my friend! =p Tis funny how i barely say a word in the lab (REALLY funny, coming from me --the chatterbox), but i'm like the cheeriest person, when i'm OUT of the lab----and this has FINALLY taken me places..the sweeeett ladies in the administration office in my department (which is on the same floor as my lab) have noticed that i work late hours! aaannndddd they're gonna put in a good word for me to my supervisor..hahahaaaa..i tell you, getting an A for ur honours project is NOT about ur thesis (well, maybe a tiny bit), but it's more of how hard ur prof thinks u're working...aaahhh..i bet i can expect similar crap from when i start working..yeeesh ..
ooohh..and Yam's cheap thrills #217: complimenting ppl (esp older (40+ yrs) on how nice they look : brings SUCH a smile to their faces! try it, make someone's day! =D (plus u score brownie points with them..hehe..worked for me!)

1 more full moon?

It's that time: when students in their final year find ways and means of procrastinating (Friendster's just become boring now)..i've also gotten a bit tired of sleep (naah, who am i trying to kid?) but since Fida (my buddy-procrastinator..rizzpect) herself mentioned that i haven't blogged in a bit, i think i'll re-start now.
Should be starting on the rest of my experiment today in the lab (final year project), but da-dee-dum..i think i shan't..=p
Been a month since i blogged my last blog: and a couple of things have happened : 1. i'm a lot closer to finishing my honours project, thank God for that (1 more full moon!). 2. i'm an SN! pretty soon i'd have a better reason to write in nomadlife, and it wouldn't just be another way of escaping work. Oh, and a 3rd thing has happened: to all those in S'pore, i'm finally over my eye-candy (aka Johnny boy) phase! (actually, it ended a month ago, but i was pursuing it for the entertainment of my friends..and then i realized i should live my life for me =p )
Oooohhh..and i ALSO found out that my batch that is graduating this july: will be the centennial (100th) batch to graduate from the National University of Singapore...! there'll be so much drama during our commencement..how exciting..Yamini's Cheap thrills #314
My other cheap thrill (#415) would be waiting for everyone in my lab (including the Prof) to leave so that i can be left alone..sigh, guess that wouldn't happen for another hour..think i'll move on to checking mail...Yeesh..Anyways, to work!
