Let us Institutionalize Koshy's Wednesdays

It has been in-sti-tu-tion-alized...officially..Koshy's Wednesday.

It all started on 31st Dec, when the 'Goa Gang' became close after a crazy party at Arombol Sweet Water Lake, and after a Russian Party had been gate-crashed into by the Goa Gang on 2 Dec.

The Goa Gang came back with this whole 'get on the train' concept ...can't remember exactly how it started, but it's basically about how getting hammered is a 'journey'.

So we have INSTITUTIONALIZED this whole getting-on-the-train thingamajig.

And we've made it on the best day of the week..WEDNESDAY..as a celebration for having made thru 3 tough-tough days at work, and as an appetizer for 2 more tough days after wednesday (i.e. Friday and Saturday).

And so..the Goa Gang reconvenes weekly at Koshys, on St Marks Road, next to the club 1912.
Now if any place in Bangalore defines Bangalore and its eclectic culture, it's Koshys. There are two sections, non-smoking/deluxe section and the more ruffy/toughy/non-deluxe section..I'll talk about the latter.

The non-deluxe section has big pictures of 3 old men hung on the wall..they probably built the place up. In any case, the patrons of Koshys are thankful to them. The walls are a drab-yellow colour-ish..there are waiters swimming everywhere..there's Indian food like Butter Chicken and naan and Curd Rice..and there's Kingfisher..and then, there are your friends.

Koshys is a nice place..we're going to Koshys tonight. =)

An Eighties' Party

We finally did it..we held a party with an 1980's theme last Saturday at the Mexican House.

David, el-crazy-partying-Mexicano, decked up his house with some help from the other FrazerTown-ers from 6pm.. and by 7pm, the house looked Amazingly Retro!!

It was real fun..from decorating the house, to dressing up in a crazed psuedo-80s fashion, to getting umm...pretty hammered.. by the end of the night/morning..Still, we tried to remember whatever we could =p

The best-dressed definitely had to go to Michael el-Swisso, the "wisest" of the trainee-lot..and definitely the one most in touch with the 1980s!!!

Dasha, Yam, Geena and Michael...The Eighties were all about mis-matches, obviously =p

Dasha looked so sweet and 80s-y..she even had Baby-Pink lipstick!!

Time for a Goan Trance Party!

Goa was great..it was better than great. There were eleven of us staying at Morijim beach, which was a beaauuttiffull place to be at..being a turtle-nesting beach, parties weren't allowed there, and it was actually CLEAN (no dog-poop/cow-poop around), and there were no cows on the beach! (unlike Palolem..hehe)

4 Lazy days at the beach and in the surf. To prevent myself from getting extremely bored (as what would usually happen at the beach), I bought a nice HAT and a sand-bucket (Dasha's Christmas gift, that I mostly used =p) SO sand-castles were built..and a lot of tunnels and lakes were dug (my contribution..i love digging, it seems..like most German tourists at the Dutch beaches, according to Marcel!)

And for the nights, 'rave parties were there' =p 31st night was spent at Arombol beach...between a jungle/mountain, the ocean and a lake called..(check it out, it's so hippy)..'Sweet Water Lake'..hehehee..it was beautiful!..esp when the party started at 11pm and ended at 9.30am!! It was a total rave party...fire-dancers 'were there'..you could sleep anytime on the beach, as you pleased..and you could wake up, find your friends and get back to trance-dancing..and at 6am, welcome the Sun as it came across the mountain..On such a star-lit night, I couldn't have imagined wanting to spend my New Years' else where...pluuusssss I came across my first satellite!!

Other things that happened at Goa: had my SIM card crash on me the moment I reached Goa so that I couldn't contact ANY of my other friends at Goa (bummer..missed out on meeting Mahima-babe and the crazy Swedes), crashed a Russian party, Stayed completely sober on New Years' eve night but could still manage a natural high!, Felt like a kid again with the sand-bucket..it felt good =), Watched Dasha turn into Ariel in the surf, Watched David fall back into the water 3 times and yell out 'I'm dying!', Becames shades darker (yes, it happens to me!) and loved it so much!!...anddd Left Goa feeling exxxttrrreeemmeelly sad =(..the company made all the difference (plus a straw hat and a sand-bucket =p) !

And after a company off-site trip to Kerala for the weekend, reached Bangalore..and dont' intend to budge outta this city for..... AWHILE =)
