Che-Che-Chennai!!

I finally got to get out of Singapore!! I visited my family, particularly my grandparents, in Chennai over the long weekend. Saturday to Tuesday. Was awesome and just about enough!

Man i love my grandpa =) This is him on his most favourite chair in the world..very simply called the "easy-chair".
And here's my grandma showing her beautiful set of teeth. I finally told my grandparents about Johannes (main reason i went to india) and they said we looked good together...but of course =p

A whole bunch of us also went to the Golden Temple at Vellore..and dude, it's really GOLDEN! well..gold-plated actually and its really beautiful. 2.5 hours or so from Chennai city and the highways are wonderful to drive on!

I also did my Indian shopping for the next year. Cried as always when I said Bye to my grandpa, but not as bad as i would usually. I'm gonna see him again next year, for suuureee baby

I re-discovered by own blog!

Oh my Gawd...it's been AGES since I've blogged. Last blog entry was July 2007. Holy guacamole..a LOT has changed since then! And not surprisingly, I'm a whole lot happier with where I am in my life now than I ever was in 2007.

Not pushing drugs anymore, that's for one thing. (i used to be in pharma. sales). I'm still working with (not for) Big Pharma, but at a more self-fulfilling level.

Well, random update. Yesterday I whacked the living daylights out of a cockroach in my house and used Hokkein expletives so fluently it scared me! hehee..didnt know I had it in me. Couldnt sleep very well last night cos of thoughts of stupid cockroaches scuttling about, but at least I didnt run and scream like how I would usually.

I'm also a lot more active now and the clubbing side of yamini is slowly coming back! i stayed at a club until 2am and wasnt even THAATT tired...could've probably gone on until 3am =p

I've also picked up golf (even though i told myself i never would..but hey, life would be so boring if i dont change my mind now and then =p), i've rediscovered the joy of swimming (with the target of starting to scuba-dive next Feb), and i'm learning tennis now! (im a bit too excitable for tennis..keep running towards the ball ).

I remember now why I didnt blog since July. Johannes was here from Aug 07 to May 08. obviousssllly, i didnt have time =p. But since he left i've been keeping myself super occupied with life, but always felt a bit bored. (constant whine of mine to my friends). Oh well, now I can blog as if people as actually reading it..hehe..it feels good to write again though =)
