Christmas has come and gone..and i'm one wisdom tooth lesser

Not so much more Christmas jingles, and no more pain from the wisdom tooth. Christmas Day, i had some awesome meals, but i think the turkey in the evening did something to me. Felt the pain in the jaw come back ever so slowly, and by Friday 11am, I called my dentist again saying that I probably need more meds.

Went into the clinic at 5.15pm. At 5.20pm, it was decided that the wisdom tooth would be removed. Had the x-rays done and sat back on the chair.

In less than 5mins the tooth was pulled out at the dentist's yesterday. Not that scary an experience, but i didnt like the whole "bite into the gauze"-for-the-next-hour bit. I was always a bit freaked about needles of local anesthetics syringes being poked into my gum, but it wasnt so bad actually. i didnt even feel it enter, probably he squirted some LA around before pushing the needle in..im not sure,i don't have eyes at the back of my throat.. but it definitely helps to be with a dentist you're comfortable with, and not one of those "insurance-panel" of dentists who just wanna rip you off your money, along with ur gums and teeth.

anyhoo, wisdom came and went this year for me, let's bring on 2009 then. =)

who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

As a way to escape work, I wiki-ed Spongebob Squarepants. And it was such a funny wiki article! Do read it if u've the time, or even if you don't have the time but just want to skive from working =p
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpongeBob_SquarePants

One hilarious bit:
Although the denizens of Bikini Bottom live under water, they mostly do not float, and gravity usually applies. A flurry of bubbles accompanies actions in many of the episodes to remind the viewer that the setting is underwater. However, the laws of physics in Bikini Bottom change somewhat from time to time, but mostly the water acts like air. For instance, characters can pour a glass of liquid, just as we do above the sea. Bikini Bottom has functional baths, pools, and toilets, and there are lakes and streams. In Battle for Bikini Bottom and a regular beach setting, Goo Lagoon, underwater liquid is referred to as goo. Once, during an episode set in a wilderness area, Patrick questions how a camp fire is possible on the lagoon bottom. As soon as the question is asked, the fire is immediately extinguished with a sizzle.

Gotta love the show!! and Spongebob!
But my most favourite character is in fact the Narrator who speaks with a french (read: fwench) accent: Tom Kenny, who, not surprisingly, is also the narrator for the Powerpuff Girls =) Apparently Jacques Costeau was the inspiration for the Narrator's fwench accent. Awww, i wanna join this industry!!

I can ride my bike with no handlebars -- Flobots

There's this song out called 'Handlebars', and its' honestly one of the creepiest/weirdest/funniest songs I have heard in a long time. Its been a while since I've analysed songs playing on the radio. This isnt the video as such, cos "it's not available in (my) country" =p

This song is amazing. It talks about OUR day, THIS day..we're capable of almost everything the guy from Flobots is singing about.

I love this part of the song:
"Look at me
Look at me
Driving and I won't stop
And it feels so good to be
Alive and on top
My reach is global
My tower secure
My cause is noble
My power is pure
I can hand out a million vaccinations
Or let'em all die in exasperation
Have'em all healed of their lacerations
Have'em all killed by assassination
I can make anybody go to prison
Just because I don't like'em and
I can do anything with no permission
I have it all under my command
I can guide a missile by satellite
By satellite
By satellite
and I can hit a target through a telescope
Through a telescope
Through a telescope
and I can end the planet in a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust"

Totally gets in your head eh?
